Pillar of Fire

Our song called 'Pillar of Fire' is taken from a story in the Bible (Exodus 13:17 – 14:1-ff).

This is the account of Moses leading the people out of Egypt into the Promised Land.

The song is written from the perspective of a person who was there in the crowd experiencing first hand all of the difficulties, as well as the miraculous things that God had done.

The difficult circumstances challenged their faith in God. God wanted them to learn to completely trust in Him for their every need. This is the lesson we must all learn.

In the book of Proverbs (3:5-6) it tells us to "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge him, And He shall direct your paths."

This song has a modern hard rock edge to it.

Holy Lord
Our 'Holy Lord' is a bit unusual.  It is about 8.5 minuets long with various musical interludes.

Does it have a familar sound to it?  The first eight bars were taken from Beethovens 'Moonlight Sonata' and the rest was adapted away from there.  It is in 6/8 time with an easy feel to it, and has one of my favorite guitar solos in it.  See if you like it too.

The lyrics are taken from the book of Revelation chapter four.   I suggest reading the scripture passages that go with each of our songs, then listen and read the lyrics to better understand the meanings of the songs.

Miracle

Our song Miracle has two distinctly different guitar solos. I call the first one my "Dokken" style solo, and the second one my "Pink Floyd" style solo. I used a Gibson Les Paul on the first solo, and a Fender Stratocaster on the second solo. Check it out and see if you like it.   Do you agree with me as to the styling, or not?
